basti grub is a specialist for extraordinary and outstanding productions. loving music from his early childhood on. he seems to have a different approach to electronic dance music. these 3 tunes here are combining afro beats with wonderful rhythm driven latino tech house sounds, spanish guitars and smooth but subtle vocals and melodies. its also a bit different from his usual productions concentrating more on rhythm & drums than usually. he left certain elements and hooks out to let the groove develop and this is probably the best thing he could ever do.

after being leaked a few months back at ndatls release party demf weekend in detroit this low down funky little piece of genius by andrés finally sees its commercial release. the original first was released on ndatls first release >the floating e.p.<. after catchin a hefty ransom online this remix resurfaces in its original form with a previously unreleased instrumental, on one clean little colored vinyl 45.

the beautifully emotive >random violence< is the first track to be released as a single and is supported by a stunning remix from label head joris voorn, who adds a little bite for the dancefloor.

played and support by brothers vibe, gorge, mendo, acumen, nick curly, felipe venegas, jackspot, ptoile, monoroom, martin eyerer, someone else and many more. his successful releases and remixes were published on labels like kiddaz fm, spinclub, cecille, 8 bit, session deluxe or glückskind. his tracks got remixed by world famous artists like marek hemmann, billy dalessandro, nick curly, chris liebing or tom pooks!! first move is helmuts typical fragile minimal tech-house funk. a sweet lullaby with mantra like vocals thats too minimal to be tech house and far too funky and sexy to be minimal. and helmut is never satisfied with doing things like all the other producer around do it right now - he is always looking for the little things thats different - so expect a surprise or two if you are listening carefully. cut b1 is so typical for helmut again you would know without any doubt where these funky track comes from. reminding of his old classic dub la chord or his yellow tail release this is his typical cleaned up tech house with his own vocal snippets you just cant get enough of.

some still know very little about t&b artist josefine jinder, so let us introduce her to you. in august 2008 we saw the debut ep of little jinder, >polyhedron<, and soon after in october 08 we gave >polyhedron< the remix treatment with loads of t&b producers. in june 09, after countless gigs and production work, jinder returned to the t&b catalog with >youth blood< on their scion comp. the tune was such a hit t&b had no other choice but to give this epic blood sucker disco house anthem the same remixing treatment as >polyhedron<. as usual, t&b remixes are all over the board from a joker-esque dubstep remix by 12th planet & flinch, a monster mash heavy bass electro remix from sharkslayer to a remix by tomas andersson, who graces this 12 inch with a smooth rolling disco remix straight from the dub factory. this is one of many releases to come from jinder, this is her first single in support of her full length record to come out in 2010. definitely an artist to watch.

luke slaters mote-evolver label is enjoying an impressive run of form. having chalked up one of the standout cuts of the autumn in the shape of cari lekebuschs >spindizzy< and dropped two floor-shaking futuristic techno megabombs from ortin cam (>carnage< & >felt<) either side of the new year there can be little doubt that the long-standing label is as relevant now as it ever has been.
one of the key players in finlands techno scene, samuli kemppi has a reputation for making forward-thinking, boundary blurring electronic music. coming up to his tenth year as a producer, his knack for blending the best of the past with cutting edge sounds has seen samuli appear on labels as diverse as ovum, siesta, komisch and prologue, providing all the credentials necessary to understand why samulis style has consistently drawn attention from all corners.

encer kincy was giant in chicagos house music revival - part of the second wave of younger djs and producers that took the music of the early 1980s, rubbed it up and dropped it in places like 500 west cermak, medusa’s and the vault. a lot of people who are now superstars of the scene - mark farina, sneak, derrick carter, and dozens of others - were a part of that movement, too. spencer released a number of tracks on relief, planet e, cajual, peace frog - labels representing the classics of that era - and he usually recorded under the name gemini. as a dj, he operated in his own space - i’m sure he could play for a room, and sometimes did, but the unrestrained madness of a spencer kincy dj set had to be heard over several hours to appreciate. he could blend a sleazy disco track into hard acid, downtempo into a punishing armani track, jazz into detroit techno and so on. it wasn’t technically brilliant or tricky, but the selection was exquisite. a number of figures from his era still list him as an influence. his productions, viewed as a whole, are so much like his sets: going softer than many dared to go, and going much harder than just about any dared to go. simple jack tracks! respected by the standards of the industry of the time, and you certainly couldn’t go anywhere in chicago without hearing derrick, sneak, mark, lego, gene, jevon, diz, johnny or the other djs beating them. and so many of them have a timelessness - a little piece of eternity stuck like some bit of wax between the grooves

its been a while since the last rsb release, but then tracks like this dont come along every day! for their first vinyl appearance on a label other than their own, enigmatic german duo ancient methods do the honourable thing and break out the whip, a track that comes across like a 2-step party in the foundry of thor himself. lets lazily label it anvil techno, because as far as we are aware no has yet invented a genre that adequately desribes music such as this. and as we have come to expect, much the same can be said of the evil sickness that is eat like hawks by bjorn svin (with a little help from karsten pflum, jona olesen & copyflex!). it starts like it means to go on, with a gnarled loop and indecipherable distorted vocals, and is gradually tweaked and augmented to the point of destruction. all manner of ill bass, overdriven filters, zaps, clanky drums & feedback join the party before the whole affair is brought to an abrupt end by the strange foreign lady that we have come to know and love over the course of the track. truly music for small, sweaty, strobe-driven cellars.

iron curtis is a berlin based young producer. his debut release on tensnakes mirau was supported a lot from many djs and deetron picked his track to his mix cd on music man. this his third release contains three unique touch detroitish house tracks. title track of >großreuth 1< is a winner of this ep. it reminds old school detroit house track and simply effective in the club. this track will be useful dj tool for any house and techno djs. >save the night<, >80 g< on the opposite side are little bit more deep house style. i would like to recommend these tracks to the fan of underground quality or that kind of underground house.
